National Grandparents Day is often a challenging one to fit into the school year since it falls right as the school year is beginning. There are so many other activities going on that it can be hard for schools to devote time to recognizing the importance of grandparents and seniors to the community. Schools can choose an alternate date to do this and parents can choose to make a special time for grandparent recognition.
